Most bulk gifting problems are not production problems. The artwork was right, the pieces were right, and the parcel arrived two days after the event. Here is how delivery actually works, so your schedule is built on real numbers.
Lead time is measured from proof approval
The clock that matters does not start when you place the order โ it starts when you approve the design proof, because nothing is produced before that. A list of names that takes four days to finalise has spent four days of your lead time before a single piece is made.
As a working guide for one product type: up to 100 pieces needs about a week of production, 100โ500 needs two, and beyond that we quote against the actual quantity. Add transit on top. Orders spanning several product types take longer than the slowest item, not the average.
One delivery or several
Sending everything to one address is cheaper and simpler, and it is what most companies should do โ the internal distribution is usually easier for you to manage than for a courier.
Splitting across branch offices is possible and sometimes necessary. It costs more, because each destination is its own consignment, and it introduces the risk that one leg is delayed while the rest arrive. If the gifts are for a single simultaneous event, a single delivery plus internal courier is more reliable.
Packaging
- Protective packing is included on every order โ pieces are wrapped so they survive transit, not so they look presented.
- Individual gift boxes are a separate line. Worth it when the recipient opens the gift in front of others; not worth it when the box is removed at your end anyway.
- Bulk cartons with a packing list are the default for large orders going to one address, which makes counting on arrival straightforward.
- Named packing โ individual pieces labelled per recipient โ saves you a sorting job but has to be specified at order stage, not on dispatch.
Festival weeks are the constraint
Courier networks across India congest badly in the fortnight before Diwali and again around the new year. This is outside any supplier’s control, which is exactly why the fix has to happen in your calendar. See Diwali corporate gifts for a schedule that works backwards from the festival.
What to check on arrival
Count against the packing list before signing, and open one piece from each design in the consignment rather than only the top carton. Personalisation errors, when they happen at all, tend to affect a whole batch rather than one piece, so a single check per design catches them. Report anything within the return window and we replace the affected pieces rather than the whole order.
